Didn’t get anything. Nothing was interesting nor did I have a need. I’m kind of surprised since usually I’ve always found something.

A new telly.
Finally got around to buying this:
https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/another-tel...light=QLED
When I first starting looking at 43” tellys back in March, it was over £600. It’s fallen in price three times already this year and now it’s £499.
I’ve gone to buy this three times before and it’s always been out of stock, not that bothered but for £499 I’m glad I didn’t buy it earlier. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
2010 D4 HSE (A bit bling)-GONE
2014 D4 HSE (Almost too bling)-GONE
2015 D4 HSE (A heated what?)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Written Off)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Surely the last!) PD1881 rims-GONE
2017 FFRR SDV8 Autobiography (now semi-retired)

Rubbish this year. Amazon just discounting their own brand stuff, Apple discounting old stock with Intel CPUs (the new M1 laptops are amazing!). TVs no cheaper than they’ve been for the last month. Ba humbug!

we've bailed out on buying a TV because
1. prices aren't phenomenal
2. many sites say price "will continue after Black Friday"
3. a f***ing stand to put it on is a harder choice and there are no bargains to be had in that department.
did get one of the key-ring LED torches someone pointed to though

If only it were that simple ... to achieve the angle I need so that it's NOT just properly viewable from the end bit of one of the sofas AND to bring it out enough to not have left-hand 20% hidden by the fireplace, it would have to be one ugly f er of industrial grade pentagraph/cantilever arrangement, probably viewable from space but deffo seen from entrance to the room AND by anyone approaching the house! If it were just me here, that's ok ... SWMBO ? that's another matter

I'd have to move the sofa so it blocked the door in/out ... probably wouldn't get that past SWMBO

I was very disappointed to find out that Screwfix was a hardware store and not a dating site.
