Got a BAS silicone hose fitted at billing, works the treat. 
smoke and loss of power were symptoms I had a few month ago, just before the BAS one was available, so ordered a LR one.
still, I had a silicone one fitted, just in case 
Plus it fits in minutes l=Oo\________/oO=l l:Ool======loO:l

I know I should just buy a black one so it doesn't stand out, but the blue sounds cool 
If you got a blue one, any chance of some pictures of it fitted?

Got the black one (the last one they had at the show !)
Not found of blue bits under my bonnet, even though I have Allisport's intercooler hoses, but one canot see them.
I recall you can get BAS' ones in black or blue and special order in red.... (hummm, any taker for a custom order of orange tangier ones LOL  ) l=Oo\________/oO=l l:Ool======loO:l

The Dealer wants to charge me 2 hours labour to fix this. Surely - based on the previous posts - this is not correct? Frontrunner roofrack and ladder. Optima yellow top. National Luna dual battery system. Bridgestone Dueler D694 A/T.

Pete From Bell Auto fitted the pipe in... 10 minutes, max - seriously (and that was while chatting with me)
- Open bonnet, pop up engine cover (turn off oil cap and fit back)
- Take off lower pipe cover (3 plastic rivets) accessed from underneath, by the UK driver side wheel arch
- Unscrew lowered o-ring, unscrew upper o-ring
- Pull up original pipe (Watch out for some oil drops when you take it out.)
- Drop new hose in, screw in o-rings.
- Refit plastic cover, twist off oil cap, refit engine cover, twist on oil cap, close bonnet.
Done.
Then again, LR mechanics may have other rules, methods, process, techniques, but i doubt it would take them more than 30 minutes to fit. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:Ool======loO:l

It is only a 10 minute job, but LR dealers will charge a minimum of 30 minutes  It's a simple enough job for even the basic skill mechanic, even easier than changing a 13A plug Verydisco, your job proceedure is spot on Faultmate MSV2 EXTREME
