Cheers Ron, Betsy let the side down on the way home with a cooked alternator, but thanks to some careful use of headlights indicators and wipers only when required (there are no more electrics to worry about), she got back to Stockport from Salisbury on the power stored in her batteries.
I never got onto the A64, I decided it was quicker to stay on the m62 and go through Howden.
So, M62 "The Road (works) to Hell" is in production
Ahh you have my favourite Little Chef on there, perfect brekky stop from Stockport when heading that way.

How did you get through that in Betsy without stopping to spray the WD40 everywhere?

This one is a proper drowning! It needed at least half a can of WD to get her going again.

Looks like you should've been in your Speedos for that lane Gareth
Now here's the most boring one to-date ...... the M1 Newport Pagnell
&feature=plcp
btw, the idle chattering is from some female on the radio ...
... if she were in the D4 she would be lying on the hard shoulder by now!
btw, still can't get to grips with this YT stabilisation.
If you look at the bonnet it keeps flicking out - all seems a bit unnatural.
