I know that it has been written, but I got confused..........as usual............
I have a MY07 D3 TDV6 euro4,
I'd like to buy the EGR blanking kit under group buy,
but I still don't understand if that kit will turn on the amber EML.
If yes,is there any way to sort it out,
cause my 3 years warranty is expiring and I don't want to get bored by the future EGR problem.
Thank you for the understandig of who will answer to this easy question figuring it out!!!!

I quote "If your chassis number is a 5A or 6A chassis number this kit is compatable.
EG: SALLAAA12(5/6)A123456." If not yes you will get lights! ps ya can't get rid of fault codes as of yet!

I'm sure I've already written this, but:
Models before 07 model year could have the egr's blanked as the engine ecu doesn't check the actual flow difference of air when they are operating (only the position of the valves (open, shut, or steps in between).
07MY onwards use the air mass meter to detect the flow rate change when the egr's are operating. if they are blanked, the flow rate of air is not as expected, thus brining on the amber engine light, to bring your attention to a fault. As it would require a complete rewrite of the engine ecu software framework (i.e. expected parameters at different engine readings) it's unlikely anyone will get this sorted.
It's all down to better/lower emissions.
HTH

Steve
