Bluetooth module location

Hi there, I own a 05 HSE trim disco, with red and green buttons on the steering, but whenever I try to use the phone it says Not fitted. I searched for the Bluetooth module behind the rear right panel but could not find any. It was only the TMC module. Is there any other place my phone module could be hidden?

Under the center console storage lid , do you have a connector ?

If no, it’s not fitted at factory

It should be the landrover aftermarket kit on that year

2 module fitted behind trim ( one each side ) below the “H” trim

If it’s working it will show up as “Ford audio “ and pair with 0000

I’ll search tomorrow. Have removed the H trim before when messing with the RR mode at the display but didn’t saw anything in the lower zone. BRB with some pics. Also, no bluetooth showing up when searching, neither when powering up nor when pressing the phone button.

Forget it, they are rubbish anyway, fit a D4 module they work perfect on a D3, better than on a D4 IMHO.

Nothing behind the H trim. Also took a picture of the headliner lamp to see if there is a mic installed. Is it the little one towards the windscreen with a black and red cable?
By the way, in the car CCF how is the bluetooth listed? For the moment I only saw that at the phone section nothing was enabled.

The mic is the connector in foam.

A pic of the radio connector wiring maybe interesting
In smaller connector

Thanks Wiggs for the info. Just found them in the lower section of the dash as you pointed. Anyone knows how to test or repair this early type Nokia bluetooth?

Managed to get both modules to work. Seems that somebody bypassed the aftermarket loom that should have been connected to the head unit. All good now, although I will go for a updated disco 4 kit that shows the phone on the nav display.

Hungary 2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Buckingham BlueDiscovery 3

Hi guys, to all of You,
I think I have the same, or at least a very similar problem. Your chat happend allready more than a year ago, but maybe You will meet also this post.
I have a D3 SE, manual gear, 7 seater, MY2008. Originally bougth in Germany, I purchased used from there this March.
No bluetooth connection I find. Also the stereo head unit was broken down, but I found a good one, so now it's working great. (VUX500560, both the original and this used one) The problem that is still alive is the lack of the bluetooth connection.
I didn't found the unit in the boot, neither left and right side behind the quarter trim panels. No prepairing as well. No connectors, no wires, nothing for the bluetooth.
But, behind the front center H trim, the thick orange wire pair (optic cable pair?) arrives at the stereo. So there supposed to be also an other end of this cable pair. : ) Where can it be? Have You got any idea?
I didn't check yet there, where Wiggs has shown on his photo with the red circle. Today I didn't have more time to remove the center element behind the H trim, so I couldn't see yet, what is behind.
But, what I could see up to this point, is the "well known" orange cable pair under the cover panel around the gearbox.. Can this be the same, that ends at the stereo head unit? If yes, where can be the other end of it? Maybe next to / under the storage box under the armrest between the two frontseats?
If You had time to read through this longer kind of story, and have any idea to help me, I would be really thankful!
Regards,
Daniel
