Bluetooth & Stereo

Just ordered a MY12 Commercial today, should be here in 4 months. Very Happy

On the 1 occasion I went to the dealer they didn't have a single D4 to show me so forgot to ask a couple of questions I may have remembered had I been able to sit in one.

With the bluetooth, is there a max limit on the numbers it stores in the system? Got 487 contacts in my iPhone so just wondered. Or does the system not store numbers and works purely from the connected phone?

Basic DAB stereo fitted to mine. Does this have an iPod connection or do I need to sort the wiring in passenger footwell as I've done with the D3?

Bluetooth reads from the phone ... But it will display 1000

D4 has an iPod connector in the centre consul ... You would have to by the lead though G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

On the MY12 versions in the US (not sure about the UK models though), they now have Bluetooth audio streaming (A2DP). This would allow you to forego the iPod cable to listen to your music from the iPhone via the bluetooth connection. Of course the cable will still work & charge the iPhone as well.

Unfortunately my MY11 does not support A2DP, so I can only use the cable. Sad In my previous car I had the A2DP streaming and it was a lot easier than having to plug my iPhone in every time I wanted to access it's music.

UK MY2012 also allows audio streaming over bluetooth from your phone.

MY12 models use the USB cable from the iPhone/iPod and plug in as before in the cubby box in the centre console so need to buy the type specific cable as before Very Happy . Track names appear on the info display and can be controlled using the steering wheel buttons. 2018 D5 3.0 HSE Lux
