| Bluetooth and voice control |

Hi to all
I hope you disco fans can help
I have brought an landrover bluetooth kit
I have had the dealer fit it today and just got home with car and gone out to have a play like you do
I can not get to phone book to work on the radio screen
I have got the phone module LXVJ500122 and LXVD500021 module
I have a nokia 6300 phone which is on the landrover web site
I have moved all numbers on the phone to sim and still no phone book
when you push the phone switch on the radio it reads no phone fitted
I had a new radio fitted too because could not get to discs to come out
any idears

You have the aftermarket LR kit ...
Phone book does not work on the radio screen ..full LR PIT kit only
Phone switch on stereo does not work either
It is working how its supposed to work .
To activate you need to press the green button on the steering wheel ...you can ask it to dial a number ..then read out the number ..or you can store names ..then ask it to dial a name G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Have you paired the phone with the unit? on the phone select Bluetooth, turn it on, set visibility to all, then search for audio enhancement, after 15-20 seconds 'Land Rover' should appear on the phone screen, select it and when prompted enter the passcode (2121) then when prompted to connect automatically select Yes. When phone symbol on dash is pressed the word bluetooth should appear, wait 30 secs or so and then turn the r//h knob and your phonelist should be present. Phone should display a small red car symbol on top of screen Mark

Thats all ok if you have the PTI kit ..he hasent ..it cant be retrofitted G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Store your names in it ..it works very well ...even asking it to dial a number works great G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Store name
Press the green steering wheel button ..should beep
say "phone" she will answer phone
say "store name " she will say name please
say "john smith ..or whatever" it will repeat the name ..then say storing name ..then ask for the number
Say "zero , 1 , 6, 1 (for example ) she will repeat then say continue
continue with the rest of the number ...its best to do it in blocks of 4 ( you can do more )
after you finished the number she will repeat then say continue ..
Say "store"
Thats it ...repeat for you other favourite numbers ..
To use ...press green steering wheel button ...say dial name ...she askes for the name ...you say the name ...she will repeat name and say confirm yes or no ...you say yes ...it dials
To call a number ..press green steering wheel button ...say dial number ..she askes number please ...you say zero 1 6 1 ...she will repeat ...continue till you have given the whole number ...then say dial ...she dials the number
Always use Zero insted of "o" ..it looks longer than it actually takes ..go and try it ..its simple ..
If you get stuck press green steering wheel button and say help ..she will give you a list of options G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

wiggs just done voice control in car very good
and works well
but not the best to speak too the numbers when you got a cold
ONE THING I HAVE NOTICED IS THAT THE NEW PHONE SWITCH SET ON THE STEERING WHEEL THE HORN BUTTON IS GREY AND THE CRUISE CONTROL SIDE HORN BUTTON IS SILVER
can you buy the cruise side in grey
if you look at it it don,t look right two colours
