A BMW convert awaiting his first LR 4x4
Am a BMW man through and through - but my ongoing back problems mean sporty saloons are now out - I dont really need an off-roader, but I need a high seating position and a good ride. Tried loads of 4x4s, and settled on the Disco 4 as being the most comfy for my joints.
Am hugely excited and looking forward to that comfortable driving position. No more creaking hips and knees trying to slide my frame down into the 3 series.
It's an ex-demo (for speed of delivery - am desperate to get something comfy), coming in 2 1/2 weeks.
Disco 4 HSE with:
Black metallic
20" 10 split spoke alloys
Sun Protection Glass rear of B pillar
Heated steering wheel
Cooler box in the front arm rest
I-pod connectivity lead
Oh, and those black side rubbing strips on the doors
Am just praying the reliability of these things isnt too bad. And I'd also like a bucket load of snow at Xmas to make me feel like I've got the perfect car. 747_JK

Looks a very nice spec for a D4. Jealous, absolutely!

Flew over the Highlands earlier this week and saw a fair bit of that stuff on the ground - but April snow in the South East is unlikely (thankfully I guess). Good luck with it!747_JK

Hopefully you'll find people let you out of junctions a bit more regularly as well as being far more comfortable. D3 - Out
Defender - On the way out
D4 - On the way in

sadly you'll still be seeing people mouthing 'w**ker' at you as you drive by - though for completely different reasons Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
