Just gone for one too .... then read Al's link.
......only saw the word 'De Walt' and '£14.99', so went for it!!
Well, only £21 inc postage, but paid by Pay Pal which hopefully will cover the purchase if they send something totally under value or different.
.... and I'm sober !!! ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Be warned. If they send something useless/different, they WILL insist it was an error, that they are out of stock and that they will happily refund you if you return the worthless item at your cost.
And Paypal will support them.
I received my hamster harness instead of the dog steps I ordered. I provided screenshots of the original selling page, email confirmation of order, photos of the packaging, tracking number, corresponding tracking page for the courier and tracking ref from the seller and still Paypal said "sure, we're refund if you send it back".
£10 and a few odd pence to send it back to China (has to be tracked AND signed).
Luckily Paypal have a little know policy you can sign up to that will refund up to 12 return postal costs a year. You have to opt in to it, and they are the judge, jury and executioner on whether they refund your postage, but thought I'd give it a go.
So far I have had my £10 return postage refunded, but as the package is languishing somewhere in Hungary before it makes the next hop on the journey to China, I still don't have the refund for the item itself. I don't doubt they will simply refuse to sign for it and Paypal will close the case without appeal.
Paypal are absolutely complicit in these substitute item scams and always demand you return the damp piece of string you received instead of your drill/model/coat/whatever to get your refund.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
Worth noting: Section 75 doesn't apply where you use a payment intermediary, so you'll have to do all this with the drones at Paypal.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
Amazon also have the table saw on offer @ £549 with special 3% discount.

Is it not the case that if you link your PayPal account to a credit card for payment, pay by PayPal then don't receive what you ordered, you can re claim the cost of the transaction from the credit card company as a chargeback without returning the goods supplied as a substitute.
It is then upto the seller to arrange for the return of the goods supplied in error at his cost.
Credit card is only good protection-wise for goods selling for £100 or more..

That's my thinking.
To be honest, it's only £21. If Paypal or Amex don't cough up I'm not going to worry about. Life too short. D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)
