Bosch battery at Costco..? ...Any experence..?
Started getting the HDC fault in the cold weather seems ok now but went flat on me at Snowdonia after 10mins with key in.
Iwas in Costco yesterday and out of curiosity asked about a new battery (not expecting them to stock one) the guy checked through the book and confirmed the battery was in stock. The battery was a Bosch silver (don't know the exact number but could find out and 100ah) and comes with a 4 year warranty that being Costco is cast iron, the price seems a bargain at £77-00inc
Anyone know if the Bosch units are OK or would it best to buy from Tanya etc. TDV6 HSE - Light Guards - White Reflective Sticker

Can't comment specifically on the D3 but I would trust Bosch any day and £77 is a very good price for a 100A Cambridge Blue TDV6 S Manual
Its better if I remain silent and be thought a fool than to open my mouth and confirm it.

i have used costco Bosch Silver batteries on a number of vehicles including my tdi 200 series, but not a Disco 3.
I have also used Costco's own brand (Kirkland) but these don't seem to be around currently.
Never experieinced any problems.
If its the right ampere hour and it fits, go for it.

Thanks guys
I've used Bosch Silver in the past with no problems ever & I'm sure they wouldn't list the D3 if there were any issues with charge voltage etc.
Price is excellent.. TDV6 HSE - Light Guards - White Reflective Sticker

Deal done then Ian - 100AH is the correct spec but you might want to check the cranking rate against another D3 suitable battery - should be about 850 I think but someone with better technical knowledge than me will confirm Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ReMap, BSS., RLD Personalised SWP., Safari Snorkel, Faultmate, Three Musketeers & MUD
