Bottle Jack
Looking in to buying bottle jack for my Disco3, only had it since March and jack that came with it had only jack and none of the handles etc. Been looking about and a couple of people been mentioning the P38 2ton, will this be suitable for lifting Disco3, obviously only for quick tyre change and will it stow nicely in rear compartment as don't want to be lugging round trolley jack in case of puncture.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated👍
Thanx Mark

The preferred choice is a Mercedes Sprinter bottle jack. They sometimes come up for sale on here, or on Fleabay. Richard

Yep, that red Disco 2 ones is ideal for quick tyre changes at the roadside. Use it under the lower suspension arm. 2 pumps and the tyre is clear of the ground.
Use a 3 ton trolley jack and axle stands for all other work underneath etc.Visitor from fullfatrr.com

Bought a P38 Bottle Jack for mine-looks very similar (From memory) to the one's that came with my Classic and Disco 1.
The closed height is low which gives easy access to the suspension arms and they are triple lift.
You will not be lifting the complete car-only a corner which is nowhere near the full weight of the car and the Jack is more than capable of doing that plus the "V" on the top gives extra safety.
I store mine in the "box" under the bonnet where the brake master cylinder is located. Bought the heavy duty rubber straps (2 parts) for around £2, the ones that hold the toolkit in place at the rear of the Disco and retain it with thatRelocated to Mid France from N. Wales March 2021

+1 for the Sprinter jack
It‘s a dual stage jack and is long enough.
It also fit the side compartment perfectly with a little bit of foam cutting.
