Bottom coolant hose replacement - help please

The metal pipe in the bottom hose cluster of my discovery 3 has sprung a leak. I have bought the set of pipes and thermostat housing (can’t buy them individually). My problem at the moment is that the metal pipe disappears down the passenger side of the engine and I can’t see where it goes to in order to disconnect and replace. Does anyone have experience of this and what I have to remove to find it please? I keep looking and getting no further!!!

the only metal pipe I recall down the passenger side, is the large turbo air pipe.

or small gearbox cooler pipes

No it is definitely metal and part of the coolant hose cluster PEL500310. I have the brand new one here in front of me. It runs below the one you are talking of.

There is a coolant connection into the side of the engine on the passenger side.

It's a plastic fitting, and I would recommend changing this too, if accessible and they can leak.

Access is best through the wheel arch, but I suspect you may need to remove items to get to it Confused

see 1st and 2nd pictures here for the coolant connection on the lower half of the engine

see 4th picture here. THere is a large hole in the bottom of the block

Yes appears to be fairly inaccessible from the photos above - just don’t know what to remove to get to it - grrr
