If someone could advice on the correct bow shackles and a good contact that would be useful - am willing to start a GP if needed. Loving the power of the TDV8!

The load rating is more important than size. And if not buying from a knowledgeable supplier make sure they are not stamped "Made in China"!
You don't one one of these to break at a critical moment Discovery 3 XS Auto, Stornaway, Active rear diff.

by size, I meant load rating....and certainly not suggesting anything that is 100%........The sort of suppliers I was thinking of do not source shoddy goods as their reputatiuons, and more importantly the lives of their customers, depend on it. end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

If I were you I would get 2 x 4.7 tested shackles & 2 x 3.25t tested shackles.
Why?. Well one has to assume that you need 2 shackles for each rope/strop.
One can't rely on any one else having the rigt gear.
The small ones come in handy where room is tight under the vehicle or attachment holes are too small for the bigger ones.
If you guys need them quick I can get some from frogs for you. Let me know the numbers.
If you want post Black & Yellow Black rat ones, i can do them.

I better have what's needed - 4 then as Nick suggests. Don't need them quickly - next pub meet would be good. Loving the power of the TDV8!

Frog Island = Knowledgeable supplier
NSN suggestion is a good one.
Proper rated ropes and/or strops need to go on the shopping list as well. If it's ropes buy the ones with loops spliced (Eye splice) in at both ends. Stops normally have these anyway. Discovery 3 XS Auto, Stornaway, Active rear diff.
