Brake fluid spec

Hi is there a particular brake fluid spec or is it just normal dot 4

Yes it is Dot 4, although until recently I have used DOT 5.1

This is Castrol's latest development of DOT 4 as of March 2019. It is meant to exceed 5.1 and more capable in resisting repetitive braking and high temperatures.

Although I should add it can't be mixed with standard fluid!!

I think you will find DOT3/4/and 5.1 are compatible, it is the DOT5 that is the odd one out and must not be mixed with the others.

Indeed DOT 4 and 5.1 are compatible, I was referring to Castrol React DOT 4 which is not recommended to mix with "other" fluids. Thumbs Up
