Just had front pads and sensors replaced at an independent LR garage in Cardiff for £122. Excellent value.

Yep, definately N/S, I was going the long way round the bend, and as usual the mini came up the inside, I turned in on him and the trailer side bar scraped the bumper. A bit of T Cut will sort it

Dealer in question is Harwoods Basingstoke (Where i purchased the car and i think are generally quite good)
So have finally gone through the service record and the breakdown is as follows.
410 : 30K Service - this price was agreed up front & much cheaper than local stealers (Lancaster ).
400 : Front & Rear pad change (including sensors on both).
For the brakes -
Parts : 127 (+vat) - prices look about right (but probably more exp. than TLO )
Labour: 218 (+vat)
So my question would be : does just over two hours labour sound reasonable for fitting front and rear pads during a service ?
If so then I guess that I got what I paid for... or paid for what i got.... so feeling calmer... WTF anyway i'd only have spent it on beer Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond
Sadly Gone : MY08 D3 TDV6 HSE : Stornoway + Alpaca + Privacy + BAS Remap

IMO two hours does seem excessive to replace pads.
Also labour rate of £109 ph seems excessive.
Then again you do live in the rich south. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Price sounds about right TBH, especially with dealer pricing. I could bet a penny to a pound of sh!te that even though they were done when the car was on the ramp you were charged an hours labour for fronts and an hour for the backs at roughly £100/hour + vat so over £200 down before a lick of coppa slip is used

they'll be pricing it based on a "stand alone job" and wont have considered the fact that the car was already on ramps, wheels off etc etc.
mine was £170 inc parts when done during a service at £99 +vat p/h labour rate Duncan
