how long they been on the car since?
I just checked my log book. I did it on the 1st Nov 2020, and have done approximately 10k miles since then. Still seem ok. The old ones were dragging, but no issue now.

I can understand your reticence regarding Britpart as their components can vary considerably when it comes to quality. In recent years though it seems they have got much better across their range, and their calipers for D3/4 are actually quite good. (easily up to the original LR caliper) I took a chance on them about 5 years back for my own D3 before fitting to a customers car. They continue to perform perfectly to this day and without issue.
I have since fitted well over a dozen of them, again without issue. It's one of the few Britpart components I do fit with confidence
We've fitted hundreds of Britpart calipers, without issue, as well as discs and pads
Britpart were a bit of a laughing stock 10-15 years ago, but completely different company now

We spend around £15k a month with BP, and we've only ever had 2 warranty returns
Interesting to hear. I stopped buying anything in a blue box about 10 years ago. I just got so fed up with literally every part being a complete waste of time and money. Sure they had a warranty but if it was a cheap part with a high labour time attached then they wouldn't compensate me for my time. Just became too much hassle to use them anymore.
What has changed? They never seemed interested in admitting there were any problems with their product sourcing. I am really reluctant to trust their parts but you clearly do. I am not sure I can do it!

I normally wouldn't buy 'cheap' parts, but having read all the comments above, and taking DM's statements on board, I've just bought a pair of BritPart front calipers. £40 each. Half the price of the AF Einbach ones.

On opening the packets I immediately notice that one of the piston dust covers is not fitted properly, and I'll have to take out the piston to seat it correctly!
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for the moment. I''ll report back, if they fit the car (or not!)Richard

Good luck! I just couldnt do it... not for a vital component.
I went for the Einbach in the end - reckon I have done about 5k miles since doing them late last year. Time will tell....

New pads and Brit Part calipers fitted this weekend. So far so good! They work like brake calipers, lets see for how long!

TRW are the OEM supplier
Many thks, do intend later this year to upgrade all of them to the V8 brakes , plus calipers, as when I don’t use my landy I’ve noticed they can stick on , plus leave my handbrake off when parked on the driveway so shoes don’t stick to the indrums
Another kit I’ve seen are ones made by terrafirma and thinking if my local garage can do them for me as lifting the larger 19 inch wheels on and off will be too much for me
Have got new brakes hoses all round , almost forgot suppose it would be good to get new EPB shoes fitted at the same time so everything is done
