Brembo 6 pot and rears

Hi there,

My D4 is in need of discs and pads all round and so I thought now was the best time to get a set of Brembo 6 pots to get a bit more potency in the stopping power when the truck is fully laden with family, roof box and boot bag on the back.

Anyway, I have just bought a refurb RRS front set which also included the rears (the chap I got them from said I could just have them).

How easy is it to fit these rears to the D4? Do they just bolt on like the fronts? I understand there won't be MUCH difference in the swap but if going to the effort, I don't mind doing it and at least they will all match.

Thanks in advance

Kindest,

Jonathan

Hi Disco Mikey,

2013 plate RRS. Not sure engine size but can find out. L494 and L405 fronts calipers. I will try and get the rear part numbers when home.

Kindest,

Jonathan

Hi Mikey,

Do you know the part numbers for the larger rear brakes that do fit? If easy to source then I will try and get these to try and do the whole car in one go.

Mine is a MY13.

Kindest,

Jonathan

The only upgrade you can go for on a D4, is that of the 5.0 S/C model

Not cheap though, new calipers, carriers and backplates needed, which also means new wheel bearings in addition

I done mine, as the rear backplates were rotten anyway, and the bearings were the originals at 206k miles, so were being replaced anyway Thumbs Up

That looks very nice. Do you happen to have the part numbers or a link to them?
Also is the caliper a single or dual pot on the rear?

Kindest,

Jonathan
