Bridgestone Dueler 001 A/T - possibly best all rounder?
Hi guys,
seems like these Bridgestone Dueler 001 A/T are fairly new tyres and not a lot of info can be found not only here but on the interweb. Decided to be a guinea pig and for the benefit of the masses try them out (won't mention that where i live 255/60R18 cost 25% less than the next premium AT tyre - so the entire set of 5 set me back GBP 580 whereas for example Pirelli ATRs would be GBP 900).
Anyhow, looking into the tread, it seems to like the roads, and should be quite comfortable and quiet - which during my first 100 miles they are! Super quiet at motorway speeds and nice and soft on the streets. Also they do have the 3PMSF symbol, and in theory should be good in the winter. Let's see

Very distinctive tread pattern, be interested to hear your experiences (noise, handling, best pressures, mud, etc.) - always good to learn about some new options!
Do you have drawers in the boot of your Disco? I can't get 4 tyres stacked in mine either D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Indeed distinctive, at first i thought it doesn't look too cool or aggressive, but it's growing on me and i think it suits the car well (the one with not too many off-road mods anyway )
I am very new to the entire off-road scene so it might take some time for me to do a proper mud test, but again, considering how much fun it is, the wait might not be too long
Started off with 33F/36R feels OK, will try higher to see if any improvement in handling and no bouncier ride
Nope, no drawers, hence 5 tyres snug fit in the boot

Last time I checked, these weren't available in the UK in sizes other than 15",16" & 17". Has that changed?2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Best allround size tyre for the D3/4 in my opinion, comfortable ride, makes ‘kerbing’ the rims almost impossible and the deeper sidewall is preferable for off-road use.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

This tyre has been replaced/updated by the A/T002.
Might be tempted by that when my current Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventurers (silly name) need replacing.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
