Bridgestone Dueler A/T 265/65 R 17 |
|
For those of you who prefer to stick to the 17" STD rims, there is a solution.
But do not want to go the full M/T route, and still like to have some off road fun.
Having read many posts & browsed the web, all the A/T tyres seem to be around
800-820 mm total diameter, and read of fouling problems in the begining.
I found an A/T tyre which is close to STD size.
Here is a comparison I have done between the STD Wrangler 235/70 R 17 & 265/65 R 17 Bridgestone D 694.
All measurements done on STD Disco rim, with new tyre & inflated:
Wrangler:
Total diameter : 760 mm
Tread width : 190 mm
Total tyre width : 245 mm
Tread depth : 9 mm
Rated @ 111 load & H speed
Bridgestone:
Total diameter : 770 mm
Total width : 125 mm
Total tyre width : 260 mm
Tread depth : 11 mm
Rated @ 112 load & T speed ( 190 Kph)
Dug deeeeeep and put a set on
