Going by past build quality on SOME of their parts, I know what my opinion would be on anything crucial that was supplied in a blue box
I did use some of their parts on my Disco TD5 and never had a problem but not their pattern parts
Hey Searider,
What is your project with the P38 ?
I know a bit about those and I really like them !
AD.
It was an MOT failure and had suffered oil pressure problems
Stripped out the front end to find this

Bought it really cheap, scrap value really and spent a month working on it, lovely car to drive but the 11 MPG on petrol was no use to me, it was fitted with LPG and ran well but decided to keep my Discovery TD5.
The day I brought it home was the worst of the year

Hi guys,
I finally removed the crank from my engine.
And I could see that the bloc is also dead.
I am now looking for either a donor car or a bloc + crank.
Looking at the literature, body needs lifting to swap the engine. When I checked under the bonnet, it does seem tight but feasible to lift the engine out.
Did anyone tried this option already ?D3 TDV6 for holidays use,

Anything britpart where the part number ends in the letter G is decent stuff, or so I have personally found on quite a few different land rovers.
Their oil and fuel filters dont seem much cop though.

It can come out that way but is a tight job and the general opinion is body off is faster and alows lots of other work to be done which would otherwise be very difficult or impossible.Must stop buying shiny toys....

The main difficulty I will face is that I do not have a 4 post lift...
Would it be possible only with 2 cylinder jacks, 2 men and a set of wooden wedges ?
Lifting the front 15 cm, wedges. Lifting the rear 15cm, wedges... and so on until it is possible to lift the engine out of the chassis.D3 TDV6 for holidays use,
