I had the same experience with LRCS after buying an approved Evoque that had had some serious repair and paint work done very badly.
LRCS were polite and friendly and helpful but weren't interested initially in sorting the problem out for me. They just spoke to the dealer to get them to talk to me and vice versa. It was only when the dealer stopped speaking to them that they escalated it to the dealer principal but still LRCS didn't actually sort anything. In the end they contributed £400 IIRC to a replacement car deal between me and dealers... who then ripped me off anyway on the finance package as they knew I just wanted rid of the car.
Good luck to the OP getting any sort of decent response out of LRCS but If you don't ask, you don't get.

Chesterfield Gordon Lamb.... they were total a-holes. I've vowed never to go back there for anything, not even replacement bulbs.

It has got to the point, that LR will not discuss anything else, UNTIL it has been checked by a LR garage.
It is going to be transported to Guy Salmon Bristol on Wednesday.MY07 Freelander2 SE Santorini Black - Gone

They just make the best of everything they have.

Trouble is, it's not independent (it's an LR franchised dealership)!!
Will you get a first hand copy of the report?
Can you get your own independent assessment?
Good luck with the outcome. 🏴

I'm paying for diagnostics, therefore I would expect to get report. I have not particularly mentioned JLR to Salmon's yet.MY07 Freelander2 SE Santorini Black - Gone

Well....the plot thickens. Bit of a long one today.
Car was collected yesterday and taken to Guy Salmon Bristol. I was not available to be there for collection, so my wife gave the keys. Driver didn't mention any problems before driving off. Got home to see this on the road, exactly where my car had been.
To me, there are obvious marks on the floor, where the wheels haven't been turning while it was dragged up and onto a recovery vehicle. Cant really see in pictures, but almost looks like some plastic was put by the wheels to help drag it. Company denies it, but I will be sending the pics this morning to them. I have also asked GS if they can check the wheels to see if there is obvious signs of it being dragged.
Anyway, back to JLR.
Here is the text of a couple of emails back and forth recently.

Dear Mr Clayton,
Thank you for your patience.
The Technical Department have advised that If the light illuminates whilst driving it will be because either there is not enough oil pressure or there may be an electrical fault. It only flashes on/off at start up to make sure the bulb is working, like all the other warning lights that come on then you start a car.
Yours sincerely,

Thank you.
And for clarification, how little oil would be in the vehicle to cause the system to deem the oil pressure was insufficient, and thus display the warning.
Regards

Dear Mr Clayton,
Thank you for your response.
As there are no detailed figures for this we would regrettably be unable to comment.
Yours sincerely,
So, in my opinion, JLR have advised me through many emails that:
1/ The Oil level must be checked regularly, as per the owners manual.
2/ The only way to check said oil level is by the digital read out. (which we have to believe works, as it is a non servicable part.)
3/ There is an oil warning light, which only illuminates on ignition, and when there is insufficient oil pressure.
4/ JLR have no idea how low the oil needs to get, to engage the oil warning light, to warn that oil pressure is low enough to cause catasatophic damage to the engine.
Just had a call from Guy Salmon. They will be looking at the car tomorrow. Allowing for 1hr diagnostics, I will be then updated on their report. They will check the tyres at the same time.MY07 Freelander2 SE Santorini Black - Gone
