There are quite a few places where the FTTP looks like it's in place but it isn't sorted at the exchange end.
Anyway, had an Openreach chap round today (father of 2 of my boys' friends from school) who asked if I was really looking to get 2 x 900Mbps links and then spent about an hour on his phone in his van trying to sort things out.
He's hopeful we'll get a re-quote the middle of next week, under the cost limit, to our outbuilding that already has ethernet ducted to it from the main house.Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

Not quite under the cost limit.
£3,614.12 +VAT to an outbuilding rather than the main house.
BT covers £3,400 so £256.94 for us to pay.
Now to see how long it's going to take......Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

Latest update is that Openreach are saying there's a big delay because they need to close a road to do the install....from the duct pull-point at my driveway gate, along the same side of the driveway and (now) to the first building they get to up the driveway.
I said to BT this was absolute nonsense but they said if that's what Openreach say they can't question it.
Oh, and the painted arrows the 3rd party installation company put on my driveway verge have now weathered away to nothing, so long has it been since they first came. Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto
