| Bushes: polybush or rubber? New arms or refurbish? |

Hi
I’ve been reading Mikey’s thread on removing the body and I thought I’d have a go myself. He makes it sound easy enough. 
While the body is off, I want to do all of the bushes.
However, some people say to just buy new arms with bushes in already. It would certainly save time.
But, if I buy a polybush set for under £300, I could also buy a 20T press with the money I save over buying a new set of arms.
So, my questions are: are polybushes going to make the ride noticeably harder?
Are the old bushes difficult to remove even with a press? I read that the arms are awkward to handle.

I polybushed my D3 and didn't find the ride any harsher, but others have said they have.
The best way to do this is to buy a set of used arms from somebody that's swapped theirs and fully prepare them with the new bushes before you even jack your D3 up.
I did it this way and was so pleased I did.
Changing the bushes is a pain, and doing it after you already spent a couple of hours fighting to get the arm off isn't fun.
You'll probably need a reciprocating saw, plenty of spare blades and replacement bolts.
Getting the old bushes out is a pain as even with a press the outer metal shell that presses into the arm is so thin you have to have exactly the right size mandrel to push them out.
Far easier to cut the rubber out then carefully cut the sleeve from the inside outwards to relieve the pressure.
Nasher. Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

Well, I’ll have the body off so I have time to do the arms and not worry about getting it back together the same day.
I also thought that getting the arms off won’t be such a struggle with the body off.
Anyone else have trouble pressing the old bushes out?

Mikey,
Is this the full bush kit with everything? ARB bushes too?
What's your honest opinion of them vs OE rubber bushes? I don't want a hard ride.
I guess they'll press in a lot easier than OE bushes too?

Ok, so what are you looking for on these with delivery?
Also, I need a tip; as I'm removing the body, I don't really want to disturb the linkage at the XYZ switch end of the gear selector, can I just pop the rod off the bottom of the gear selector? Are there any wires to unplug from the gearbox or do they all go forward to the engine bay?

I had Superpro bushes fitted to my old D3 many moons ago. I was a bit sceptical changing from OEM but I found them excellent. Returned the ride back to new with no loss of comfort. Discovery 4 HSE
