Gareth wrote:Did you have a 4 wheel alignment done after this job?
Even after marking all the Cam Washer locations. I'm not satisfied with the steering wheel being off Aprox 3degree from TDC...... It drives fine though. But yes, I'm scheduled for new Tires today at 3pm, Cooper Zeon LTZ 285/60R18.....
4 Wheel alignment Saturday morning 9:30 am at Dealer. $149.00 US.
Answer will be yes.

I had my rear wishbones done on the last D3 I had (££££) and the dealer had great difficulty removing the bolts, as they were seized solid. They had to cut them off.
I think the salty roads in winter can take their toll, so may not be easy in all cases.

I would have to say a nice air compressor is a must. I only had to use a breaker bar/ cheater pipe on one nut. Impact broke the rest free. Also this LR3 was from the southern US, so no salt. I did not pre soak any bolts, but it wouldn't be a bad idea too..... ( Air Compressor was 50 gallon, 6 hp, upright ) I plan on posting all the photos I took to my gallery, even the strange ones that don't make any sense .....
Thanks,

I had on my LR3 2005 (48.000 km) both front bushings cracked. The results while offroads: feelings that the front suspension is gonna get out of the car soon. On the pavement: quite unstable in the front if suddenly needs to turn. Bought new tires (Pirelli Scorpion Zero R19), done 2000km on it and were badly worn out on the inner side.
Altogether: new front lower bushings, wheel alignment, now seems OK.
But second car, Nissan Terrano (150k km) has not had any issues related to suspension since it was new.
Perhaps one of the weak parts complained by many user...
On other hand, cannot compare between them

In my opinion the rubber compound of the original bushing was a little to soft. The movement allow the bushing to to go metal to metal. So it failed rather quickly. The newer bushing available are alot firmer compound. It does not allow the bushing to crash into itself.
I agree you really can't compare between the two.
