Yep, add me to that list too. Thumbs Up

Never liked the idea of “bookshelves” being attached to the sides of a D3/D4

Plus: they're great ones for starting out some heavy corrosion. Get rid of them for your own sake.

I entirely agree. Thumbs Up

When I was looking for a D4 to buy I was offered one with side steps, which I rejected for just that reason.

If this really is a concern I suppose rock sliders would achieve the same result, and make the car look less like a Chelsea Tractor:-

I still don't like them, and guess they would be equally good at marking the back of ones trouser legs.

Thanks to Robbie for the image.

Side steps will be going very soon Gents, to be replaced by a set of Shire Fabrications rock sliders. Sadly I couldn't get the old ones off Larry (never use the bolts included!) but they were pretty battered anyway.

It's going to be a slow build but one I'll get a great deal of pleasure from.

Thanks for all the support and encouragement Smile

I've been very busy modifying the new D4 but can't for the life of me work out what I'm doing wrong as, every time I try to add pictures it just comes up as a link Big Cry

Anyone got advice?

Assuming you’ve got the pics uploaded to your gallery.
Open an image, then from below, copy either of the BB codes, then paste it when you raise/edit your post.

Thumbs Up

Nice to meet you Andy. Your D4 is stunning and the Mods so far ate cool. Sadly bringing my daughter to pick up the sill covers (we also hate side steps) has been expensive! I now have a list of the mods she wants for her D3! Big Cry Stickers have already been ordered!

Keep us posted on your build. It's a good un. Thumbs Up

Great to meet you too Simon, and your daughter, sorry it's been expensive but glad to offer some inspiration Wink

Got a bit more done on the D4 this weekend, all added to this thread https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/second-d4-build-204671.html
