same for me too. the system is definitly more efficient with the dial at 18 _ 20 degrees. I recon when it is on full cool (blue mark) the fan is too fast and the air is not cooled properly.

Today, the kids in the back were complaining it was too cold.

If you haven't used air con much, then the loss of refrigerant can be greater then 10% per year. usually air con does not need regassing until a few years old. maybe you need to regas the air con..
