A/C working right?

Sorry if this has been covered ,i did search but found nothing relevent.
I do not drive my lr3 unless we are going away, my wife uses it for work.
however yesterday i had to use it and found the A/C was only just about blowing cool, even with the air recycling ,i spoke to my dealer he said he would be very happy to check it but it is ment to drop the temp between
10/14 degrees.
the car read 34 so i could only expect 20,is this correct, and has anyone else
had any problems ?

Fine, cold enough to make my eyes water if the vents are positioned wrong... Shocked
Check the filter is fitted correctly and not blocked (it's behind the glove box)
does the fan seem to be running at a decent speed?

so the fan's going full whack, can you feel air coming out of the vents - cool or otherwise?

Dunno why you posts are being entered twice - is there an echo on the line? Confused

Don't own a D3 yet but was test driving one yesterday. Temperature was 34C.

I made a point of testing the a/c. I selected the minimum temp possible using both passenger and driver dials and set everything on auto. After a few mins the air from the eyeball vents became pretty cold. Selecting 20C on the controls and full auto enabled the system to maintain the temp in the (black) car without effort.

Just rrying to get the best price and will probabaly prder next week.

Any you're sure it's not on economy mode?

Turn both temperature dials right down, jab the Auto button a couple of times and leave it alone for a while

Had a similar problem to relaxed with a Defender with AC, worked initially OK but soon gave no cooling at all, not good on a trip from N Denmark to Calais in 35degC temps. Turned out that the factory had not put enough "stuff" in the system. Rolling Eyes

My D3 is fine, even have too bleed in some warm air as "pure" cold is too uncomfortable. Only problem is having to get out of the car into a very sweaty house! Crying or Very sad
