They are very poor at phone communication but usually they answer emails. You could try and email Sam Martin the owner and ask him to look into it. His email is sam@island-4x4.co.uk.
PS. Not much point going down there as they no longer have a trade counter.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

One other thing. Should I have the rear belt done at the same time or leave that for the time being?

Unlike the front timing belt the rear does not pose any critical threat to the car if it fails. Other than no fuel to the injectors and it will die there and then leaving you stranded.
So you can leave it but if it's more than 5 years old don't leave it too long! yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I can't see any evidence in the service history that shows it's ever been changed

Most mechanics (though not all) mark the date on the engine cover when last the belts were changed.
If in doubt get it done now for peace of mind. For an experienced LR mechanic it's only a couple of hours work, more for the less experienced to which I would not entrust it. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Righto! So, to bring this up to date. I'm now having the following done:
• Left and Right Hand Pulleys – OEM parts supplied.
• Thermostat Housing - Part supplied.
• Check operation of Alternator and Starter Motor.

It would be no harm to check the condition of the ancillary drive belt which drives the fan, A/C, alternator, water pump, etc but it can be done afterwards without too much hassle. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I would assume they would do that as a matter of course... We're talking about the first one you come across when the first cover comes off?

No, it's the belt you see outside the cover when you look down behind the fan cowl. The one behind the front engine cover is the timing belt. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

No cover on any of them, you're probably looking at the fan shroud and rad pack cover.
In any case it's the aux belt which you can see snaking it's way around the pulleys that you've looking for. Don't buy a cheap one and go for OEM or other quality manufacturer.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

We are talking about the same thing. I don't buy cheap anything, so no worries there
