Don't modify it - buy a caravan! A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

What is your definition of a camper?
Do you want to convert to a pop top roof like the VW camper vans or are you looking for a cargo solution with possibility to sleep inside the car or in a rooftop tent?
The D3 as a fantastic overlanding vehicle for comfortable traveling but lacks living space in cold or rainy weather. If your primary goal is camping I‘d recommend to look elsewhere like VW 4x4 vans with pop top roof, big Sprinter 4x4 vans or similar. I wouldn‘t go with a caravan just because you‘ll be limited mostly to easy accessible places or official camping grounds. _,,,_______///________

Campers pay a lot less road tax in Denmark. So there’s some unusual conversions over there including the Disco:

@LT: I love this pop top roof conversion but I doubt it is functional for travelling.
The inside ‚living space’ is great and that’s exactly what we’re missing on our solution. But where would you put all your cargo, water, food, bedding, recovery and sport/fun gear? In a trailer? _,,,_______///________
