Hi,
After the staggering success of last year's inaugural caravanning holiday thanks to Disco3 (fantastic community helped with ideas around buying a van, recommended the campsite and talked me through adding Dr Tranny when the gearbox nearly broke in the middle of France) I thought I'd try again!
Does anyone know any good caravan sites near La Rochelle please? We have 6yo and 8yo boys and are looking for a bit more in terms of on-site pools/fun, but not going full-out Butlins and also ideally near the beach.
Thank you!

Plenty of sites to suite on the il de Ray,we were there last year Book early if going in the French hols (August up to the 20th) as it will be busy The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.

Well, the forum came trumps for a second year! We’re half way through 2 weeks on Il de Re - is utterly superb! Great journey down with an overnight stop from Zeebrugge at Alencon. IDR is perfect for us with two young boys - will certainly be back! Leave on Friday and go get to head to an overnight in Normandy before Zeebrugge-Hull on Sat night 2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +
