can anyone help please??

my d3 has been to the stealers a few times in the last 2 months or so after the last trip i noticed the trim panel on the drivers side rear where the top seat belt mounting is was not fixed back.so i rang them about this they said they had not been anywhere near it so tough! now i have an airbag warning light on! can anyone tell me what the webbing type straps are under this trim??? as they seem to be attatched to trim. the fault was with the remote keys by the way not working all the time . any info would be great as im now having a row over the new fault. Sad

thanks andy j

Hi and welcome. I can tell you that those trims are held on by flimsy clips. You will need new clips to reattach it. They cost pennies. If your dealer is wanting your repeat business, it would be in their interest to re-attach it foc. Thats my view anyway.

WRT to airbag light, I cant help you. There have been a few instances reported on here, so might be worth a search. I think there were a few cases of the wiring under the seat becoming tight, and pulling a plug out? but I am not sure where.

Others may help?

I'm not sure which dealer you use or where you are?

Having had my Trim off there in my recent upgrade project
http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic37092.html?highlight=

i can tell you that the webbing is just there held loosely by a few body mounted barbs to ensure that in the event of deployment that the rear Curtain airbag ends up being held in the optimal place to offer the best protection, It is nothing to do with the connectors for the air bags at all which are actually much nearer the rear tailgate.

I concur with Gareth though that the rear trim clips are flimsy and pennies. Also its quite tricky to clip the rear panel on properly without breaking them or getting them to clip in the holes properly.
