Can anyone help with fault code U2023 plz? |
|
Over the last couple of days my MIL light has been coming on. My friend has a code reader which says PO172,PO175 and U2023 are present. The first two are explained but the third just says 'vehicle specific' and i just wondered if anyone could shed some light on it.

can't see that code in the V8 ECM DTC list.... which module is it from? 'U' codes are generally missing / lost comms and are transient by nature - any other warning lights on?

There are no other lights on and the car seems to run fine with the MIL light on, but when i clear the codes within 10 miles or so it comes back on. I thought it could be the LPG system so i ran it on petrol for a couple of days but it still does it. Dont know what module its from.

Once the light comes back on, are all three codes present? The 'P' codes relate to the fuelling system running to rich, as you know - are all three codes present when you run on petrol?

The 'p' codes appear every time but the 'u' code has only appeared a couple of times.

Just ignore U code. Check air filter for restriction, leaks between MAF and intake or try to run on petrol.

Cleared the codes this afternoon, went to pick the kids up from school and on the way back the dreaded light came back on within about 5 miles. I haven't run on gas at all. Any ideas?

If engine running to rich then check air filter and leaks on air intake (most cases). Other possible cause is leaking injectors (but plausibility is low).
