Can the Gap IIDToolBT G3 be reprogrammed for Disco 4?

I've just bought an IID Tool BT, G3 model. The device is new.

I went onto the GAP website to register it and thought I was clicking on the Discovery 4 L319 but when I've later checked appears I may have clicked on Range Rover 322 mistakingly as this is what now comes up when I click on the site with the tool connected by USB cable.( the curser jumps two line when I click on it. Not sure if it's the website, my computer or my fat fingers...even though I have thin ones).

I plugged the tool into the OBD connector and followed the instructions on my mobile to try and activate it....even did this alongside a video from Powerful UK but where it got to the point of the registration code being visible as in the video, mine didn't show up.

I disconnected and went back to the website to see if I had done anything wrong and now noticed the Range Rover L322 mark.... I downloaded the software update again and took it back to the car but this time my phone does not show it as connecting.

I have checked the OBD connection and it works with my iCarsoft device....which now shows 22 faults where there previously there were only 4. Not only that but it asks me if my vehicle is a hybrid. It is not and to my knowledge the Discovery 4 wasn't made with a hybrid though the Discovery 5 and possibly late Range Rovers were.

I can only assume that the device has not been activated yet as I have not given the activation code. The question is can the IID Tool be reprogrammed for the Discovery 4 and if so, how do I go about it. I've been trying for 3 days to get it working and struggling with it..

Thanks

You can certainly add other vehicles but you have to buy a new licence for each one. In your circumstances, I'd contact GAP and explain the situation. In my experience, they're very responsive and helpful.

Thanks for that Darren,

Was my next port of call but I thought I'd air it on the forum first to see if anyone else had experienced it.

Much appreciated your prompt response though, thanks again.
