Can the GAP tool read generic fault codes? |
|
I don't have a GAP IID but giving it serious thought. I've somehow managed with 17 years of D3 ownership and got away without needing it...so far. But my question is can the GAP tool read generic fault codes from any vehicle with an OBD2 port, ie not a LandRover. I realize the functionality will be limited but pure fault code reading would be useful for other cars in my family fleet.
Any info welcome!
thanks

No it doesn't.
Maybe an Autel AP200 white may suit your needs better. Doing generic cars and having the landrover add on for advanced features.
Feedback is mixed for these at present, but for £60 then it should do your generic cars at least

ok, thanks Pete. I'll have a look into that option at least to see how close it comes to the IID functionality for the D3 which is my main concern as my vehicle gets older...and older..
I can somehow see myself ending up with both options in due course.
