Cape Land Rover Club outing to Tierkloof 4x4

Finally got the chance to take the D4 off-road with our club! Thumbs Up

Learnt quite a few things about the car while being helped by another D4 owner, and also used the IID tool to give it a 50mm lift.

Right at the start of the trail I was in the wrong mode, and still managed to get up the obstacle, much to the amazement of the others Whistle

I got stuck on one section due to taking a bad line, which resulted in me being beached, but other than that it was very smooth sailing.

Coming from a Defender, driving a D4 off-road is very different: less visibility & thus awareness of the trail & obstacles, but the vehicle is so much more capable.

This was not a vehicle-breaking trail, so it was a good introduction to the off-road capabilities of the D4. Thumbs Up --

one of the club members just send me this photo he took of us going up a sandy embankment. SWAMBO almost crapped herself when the front wheel went up and her window touched the bushes on her side Rolling with laughter
