All it means now is more and more people wont insure cars.

We'll only find this out when they bump into us.

Big Thumbs Up to the insurance companies for finding yet another loop hole to take advantage of.

I note that the article only mentions one insurance company. I wonder if all the rest will follow on and ask;"any convictions or pending convictions, or speed awareness courses attended?" Of course, if that's the case, the answer to the last will be; no, it costs more than the fixed penalty.
Who, if anybody, nationaly collates details of drivers who have attended courses, (they are after all not endorsed on their driving licences) and are the insurance companies entitled to that information? If not, then it becomes an integrity issue with insurance companies relying on the honesty of the driver.

If the insurer asks the question then you have to answer truthfully otherwise its potentially fraud.

Get caught by insurers telling porky pies and its not just the fallout from that policy, but all future policies as insurers share info about fraudulent claims and customers. You may find yourself on a blacklist.
