I agree with MarkOne, I had a quote to repaint the roof of a Puma 110 SW (quite large!) it was £350, from black to silver!
Find a local body shop and go and have a look at their work, if they are any good they will invite you in with a cup of coffe, at least you can see what they do.
Chips Away etc are ok but not on a job like this, get it done properly otherwise every time you look at that side you will try and see the imperfections.

Don't rule out smart repair as [b] ALLmotor manufacturers use this process on 'in transit' vehicles, seen em painted in holds of ships.....
It's a bit dependent on colour and, think already said, door panel not an easy area for smart repairing, I wouldn't do silver for example but a dark colour better
Check out your local body shop, similar price probably, and good paint guys are working in many back-street places (you'd be surprised where I've seen Astons and 'Autobiography' Rangies painted......). Word of mouth recommendation always good and go see them at work too
A four panel; wing, door, rear quarter and bonnet job on a Merc' in a quite difficult 'sparkly' grey colour was £580 18 months ago by a guy I know who used to paint Astons, Ferrari's, Spykers, Autobiogs, etc. as an indicator

If Geoff is thinking of recommending who I think he is then it's a big from me. I have used them several times for my G4 after various off road issues ranging from deep scratches to a new rear door totally resprayed etc. They are superb and with an attention to detail that has to been seen to be believed.
Hope you get it sorted out and btw £600 sounds like a take if you ask me.

Most supermarkets have cameras, go to the manager, lodge a complaint and ask to see the tapes, they are obliged to keep copies for 7 days, this is criminal damage and they do not like bad publicity and may make a contribution to the cost.
I had a camera stolen from my car while in a supermarket car park one Christmas, I reported it to the manager and he made a major contribution to replace it It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

You need a Blackvue, it's not going to stop the little bs but may help to prove who done it!

The supermarket is under no obligation to have a duty of care over your car while in there car park.
They have disclaimers up in them explaining to remove valuables ect. Can't see them entertaining contributing to compensating over damage. And I don't see why they would need to, maybe a gesture of goodwill but highly unlikely I would say.

Another here for Chipsaway. Have used them a few times, once when she went to put her new car in the garage and missed and another time when an idiot building contractor trespassed into my office carpark and walloped the rear corner of my car. Both repairs seemed perfect to me, but I don't claim to be an expert.
One point - Chipsaway is a franchise so check for recommendations from someone near to you, I'm in South Bucks.

I'm afraid I agree with MarkOne - you see these disclaimers clearly in most supermarket car parks now. I can't see the supermarket management offering to pay for the damage. I do however, agree that the camera footage would be readliy available but fear that "all" it will shown are images of a moronic malcontent with a jealousy and a rage against his or her own pathetic inadequacies. I feel for you, I had the same happen to my last D4 not so long ago.
A visit to Dunton Green will see you right though My17 Volvo XC90 Inscription

Surely that will only work while its switched on, i.e. the engine running? How would that help in this case when the car was parked up and only the side was vandalised?
