Car shutdown and no life
The other day my Disco 3 was driving I noticed the front window wipers were not fully operating which has been normal for some time, but a few moments later F flashed up and all the warning lights came on and off and suddenly the car died leaving me on the side of the road.
The car has no life what so ever, no lights, no ignition, nothing.
Local rescue service tried to charge the battery today but no response.
What could possibly be the issue?
It was scary and I hope this is not the last for my trusted Disco3 with 209,000 miles.

Hi
Personally would check all the earths
There’s one behind the drivers side wheel arch liner that’s known to fail
U could try using a jump lead from the ground battery post to a good earth point on the engine
Can find a good earth with a multimeter , at the same time ensuring there around 12.6 Vdc at the battery
Please ensure both battery posts and clamps are also clean and secure
The ground battery lead connects to the body at the back of the battery , Other earths are behind the drivers side headlight
I found it helped by undoing earth cables from there posts then Using a dremel with a wire wheel cleaning up the cable connection and post , then putting some copperslip on when refitting
Is ur battery very old as normal life is around 5 x years
