Caravan front cover
I'm considering a front cover for our Bailey, seeing as the front is all alloy (Alutec), to give it some protection from flying stuff. Anybody use/recommend one?
Cheers

Hi Al,
I have a Bailey stamped one from pro-tec which covers the bottom half, don't bother in heavy rain the front window leaks as they use the window to secure the cover in the centre. If you find a different make that fits I would be interested as the front does dent easy with stones.
Cheers

There are some on eBay that go up to above the front windows that caught my eye. Wondered if anybody used one like that.

We have one for our swift conqueror, slide into awning rails both sides, made by specialised,we rang them and asked if it could be made higher to fit above the front windows which they did,,saves a lot of mess whilst travelling, well worth it

How much did they charge for the one they made? Been thinking of getting one for my swift challenge sport, but would like it to cover the front sunroof too

That sound like the folks who have them on ebay - a place in Nuneaton I think.
@Chippy - I've not seen a van for ages that didnt have an awning rail both sides, our Bailey does, as did our previous Abbey and Swift.

The one I had was 'soft' backed but didn't fully extend to full coverage of the 'edge' of the front 3 windows, even then I have my doubts as to it not abrading the plastic of the windows I took the decision I had managed fine without it over the past 20years (although the front window does get dirty between leaving home and arrival on site) I'd rather not risk that type of damage

for me it was the dent protection I was thinking about with the Bailey being an all alloy, one peice roof and front panel (not ABS like the Abbey we had before, in which we did have a brick hit us and crack a front window).
