Caravan gadgets and storage ideas
Hi all,
Does any one have any clever storage ideas/solutions for bits & pieces in your caravans? So often I see someone using a random item (usually from Ikea or similar) in their van and it makes so much sense.
For example, the cutlery drawer is tiny and useless in our van and cannot accommodate enough 'bits' for the 6 of us. I could just use a clip lid box, but are there any clever storage boxes out there to keep things separate???
In addition, any really funky caravan / camping gadgets people have found and are worth sharing?
I know this could turn into a very expensive post, if good ideas are posted!!
Thanks
Ben

Best thing we have in the van is a Teppenyaki hot plate, used all the time in awning for fry ups, fish, meat you name it.
Other cheat we have is a small chopper/blender ideal for onions garlic etc when cooking in van
As regards cutlery, just goes in a plastic box with lid

Hi,
a length of 22mm grey pipe insulation
It goes on top of the hanging rail in the wardrobe and keeps the coat hangers on the rail while in transit no more clothes on the floor when we get to site
Added a twin cigarette lighter socket to awning side just in front of the wheel.
Allows me to charge phone, ipod etc in awning.
Also use Tesco collapsible crates for clothes, fit nicely under the seats, kids know which colour is theresPaul.

Cut the bottoms off plastic bottles eg 1.5ltr, 1ltr, 500ml
Staple 6 of the same together [in two rows].
Makes handy storage for cups, glasses and general bits to stop them moving about....... always on the road less travelled 🚧
