Caravan over the Petit Bernard Pass - anyone done it?

Doing a round trip with the tin tent September to Italy via Bavaria and Dolomites to Lake Garda and possibly return via Tignes to have a ski. Anyone know if it is possible to take a caravan over the Petit St Bernard pass, last week in September? From Italy into France, and then maybe back again.

Outfit is long single axle pulled by the Disco 3 TDV6, so power no problem, just widths and bends really. Rather not do much mileage on a mainly single track pass.

Cheers

Please don't Big Cry

I got stuck behind a camper van going up there on our honeymoon 8 years back. There I was in an Alfa, doing 5mph 1st gear hairpins, cursing the camper as it used both sides of the road on every bend.

We got overtaken by cyclists Big Cry
