Looks it great condition, bet it has been well looked after. I plan to keep my Adria for at least the next 10 years. Luckily I enjoy cleaning and polishing the bodywork!

Unfortunately the caravan market seems to have gone the same way as the car market, with huge depreciation in the first few years, we have a Bailey Pageant Bretagne which we have owned from new and is now 10 years old, it has been a fabulous 'van and the layout has perfectly suited a growing family but it now needs replacing with something to suit SWMBOs preference for a fixed bed. I am very envious of that Carlight Commander with its virtually depreciation proof build quality.

That was one of my reasons for buying the Carlight in 1999, as we were fed up changing vans every few years and losing a stack of money everytime. Every couple of years we have upgraded something and inside and out, its like a brand new van.

The other reason we bought it, apart from the fact we loved the look and styling, was because, as it was all hand built by joiners and cabinetmakers, everything can be dismantled and customised if you want, as all the furniture is traditionally built.

They're not to everyone's taste though Whistle Thumbs Up

Hi,
Two hardy souls packing up this morning.
The awning was fine rigged up 2 fan heaters , it was toasty, all the dogs were asleep scattered around in each corner.

The van was fine as well, once up to a nice temp, left it on all day and night, considered sleeping Inside the lockers warmest place by the ducting !!

Most of it went well.
But when it came to the wheels my WSL bolts on 2 of the axles are quite rusty, and to be honest at 5 years old i was suprised at the state of them. (i have noticed lol)
So our engineer would not take them of as he may not be able to re tourque them.

So i need to get a new set. fine no problem, just wondering if anyone else as had the same issue with there wheel bolts.

Thumbs Up

 Regards
Ray

We went for a drive out to pass a rare free day and popped into caravan place near us and came away having out a deposit on a new Coachman.

It wasn't a planned purchase, we only went in for some pink and blue, but once SWMBO has looked around the van she wanted it.

Thats put back my retirement again....
Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.

Just getting back into Caravaning after a 15 year break without one. Picked this up at the weekend. It's old, and was cheap, but it's bone dry and everything works.

I'm happy. It's fully kitted to go, awning, gas bottles, new tyres, aqua roll, waste hog. Just got to put our cutlery and crockery in, and some clothes, and we're ready to go!

Looking forward to an Easter get away. Thumbs Up
