CD Disc Formatting for MP3

Hi Guys,

What formatting (e.g. ISO 9660, Joliet, etc) for a CD-ROM must I select (from eg. Nero) when burning a MP3 disc for the D3?

My first disc I used my normal settings that I use for WinXP disc (which allows for more than 255 characters in the file name, more than 8 levels of directories and a bunch of other "relaxations"). However, when I popped it into the CD slot, it got prompty popped back! Sad

Thanks

I generally have only 1 folder level for my D3 MP3 disks.

So one album goes in the root and then the other albums are in their own folders off of that root. I don't have large folder or file names as the D3 doesn't show that data, only Folder number and Track number. Anything else is only useful for a PC or other decent media player with display Thumbs Up

i.e.

d: = album1 songs
D:\album2\album2.mp3's
d:\album3\album3.mp3's
etc etc

Hi CBR,
ISTR only one level deep is recognised, otherwise the tracks will not be found.
If you use Nero and set it to create a data disk it will be playable. Nothing fancy needed there.

Thanks Guys!

I burned a bog standard CD and it worked - although, it still has a little bug. The first folder is stepped over although it does contain tracks (i.e. the first folder that is played is "02/07" as I've got 7 folders on that CD).

Anycase, I'll play around some more and report back.

Just a pity that the D3's ICE system does not include a proper MP3 playing interface with album and track names! Crying or Very sad

Cheers
