| CD player not working - any advice? |

Has anyone got any advice please for a faulty CD player.
When i tried to play a CD today, it wouldn't recognise any of the CDs and after about 10 seconds with a sound like it was trying to scan/read the CD - it gave the error message "Invalid disc" (they are all pukka CDs - not copies etc).
I have tried removing fuse 53 for a minute or so, but this didn't make any difference.
Has anyone any tricks/thoughts/advice? Can it be reset, or does it need repairing/replacing? If so, any suggestions other than a wanted ad!
PS - it's on a 54/2005 HSE if that makes any difference to the type of player.
