CD-400 stereo. Putting a replacement stereo into my D3. |
|
Hi,
I know there isn’t a stereo security code, is this the same if I am putting a replacement unit into my D3?
I have an 05 and the stereo is a CD-400 which is the same unit. Will this just work? Will my D3 just accept it without any code needing entered?
Thanks
Eddie

Are the stereos married to the ECU though?

Nah.... they are the same units... both CD-400
Do you think they will just swap and work?
Cheers

Swopped mine for one from a Freelander 2. Just plugged it in and all works OK. I swopped it because the original had lost half of the buttons. Did not need any codes to make it work. 2013 RR Vogue SE SDV8

I would go aftermarket, the basic stereo is pretty average now.
