I just bought a D3 in Germany and I would like to change the language settings of the board computer to English (German now); can someone tell me what the procedure is? (or do you need another SW load?)
I checked the LR manuals and could not find it.

Renev,
I bought mine too in Germany and find out that only a dealer with their computer attached to the car can change the language.

It's dead easy .. [but don't recall which buttons to press without checking.]
Will do tomorrow and post.
Unless, by bringing this to the forefront, one of our more 'learned' will be able to advise without checking!!!
I changed mine to French for a bit ... just wanted to hear a sexy French woman talk to me ....
didn't work she was just as authoritive as the English woman.
Needless to say I never tried the German woman ...for obvious reasons!!! ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

I suspect Ron is thinking you are talking about the satnav - the board computer does not speak to you, or at least mine doesn't. Life is what you make it.

Renev do you have the satnav?
In the owner manual it write that if you change the language of the statnav then it will give the message on the computer in the same language. If you don't have the statnav option, the computer language have to be change by the dealer

Thanks for the tip Recarman but no I do not have the Satnav option.
So it seems I have to ask the dealer to change it with his computer hooked up during my next service visit.
Merci et Bonsoir!

To all: the language was succesfully re-programmed to English by the dealer (Jager, Purmerend) during the 48K service visit (could not find an extra charge on the bill!).
Nice folks , good service. and : What a great car!
