How do you change the n/s rear upper arm bush? |

Any guidance for the above, slight play, needs doing, local dealer said it would also involve a wheel alignment at £166 + vat!!

Don't touch it yourself, they're a b*gger to get off.
Chances are it'll be cheaper renewing the arm than paying the labour cost to release it.
And, re the the 4 wheel alignment ... if you renew one side, you're as well as doing both sides.
You don't want to do just one ... pay for the alignment, and then do the other side within a year and pay for the alignment yet again.
Had all my bushes [front & rear] done in January.
Drives like a dream. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

With Ron on this. My 1st D3 had these done at 120k. Power tools were needed to cut the old bolts out.
Yours on over 300,000 miles might have had them replaced once or twice already? hopefully whoever reassembled it used plenty of copperslip to prevent the seizing bolts.

If you were gauranteed the bolts through the bushes were free it wouldn't be to bad of a job.
I changed my ones at home on the drive and the bolts were seized in the bushes it was a nightmare and there was lots of swearing going on!!!
