Changing my bumper
im changing my bumper, from a s model bumper (no lights or pdc) to hse one that has lights and pdc. i havent got the bumper yet so dont know what will come with it, just wanted to know what i may need to connect the lights and pdc, i already have light wash on the one fitted at the moment and i know i will have to change the interior light switch. Oh aye, is it an easy job to change the bumper? and if it isnt, is there anybody willing to lend a hand in changing it

Changing bumper is easy.
Do a search on here for a step-by-step guide or drop me a line, I've done it a few times now.

lad its an easy job to change the bumpers. The instructions say removing the outer wheel arch trims too, but you don't need to, just undo the inner arch screws and it gives just enough to pull off the bumper.
To change the bumper the grill needs to be removed, the upper bumper screws will be exposed, headlights need to come off, easy as the taps just lift up and they pop out, exposing more upper bumper screws. Where the headlightd were, near the inner wing there is a screw/bolt that needs to be removed, and a tab that needs to be manipulated over the nipple. screws under bumper too.......
When the drivers side headlight is out, hopefully you will see some unused terminal blocks, one is for the PDC, and the other unused one is for fogs.
Hope that helps........hope I aint forgotten anything

cheers ta for your replies, ive had the lights out of their place, replaced side lights with LED's. i was told not to remove the lights as they are bi-xenons and need resetting,!!!???!!!! unsure about that!!! hopefully im getting the bumper at the weekend and might fit it next weekend, so i will have a look on the site about removing/fitting it and have a look at the landy before taking it to bits

If also you think down the line you want a A Bar, now would be the time to consider it as that requires the bumper off to.....Just a suggestion as it will save yu alot of time

hhhmmmm, used to play about with electrics in my old range rover, fitting this and that and nowt blow up, but when i changed the side lights at the place i got the LED's from i said lets just remove the whole light fit the LED's and refit them, but the guy said dont, so i didnt. i thought if the light weren't on it should be ok as it just unclips and goes back together again. ah well if they need to come off.....OFF THEY COME!!!

I cannot see why there would be a problem with removing them, Slimer sells them all the time to allow upgrades from normal lights. As long as you don't drop them anyway. Rip em out mate, be done with it. If worried pm the large one, he will advise you. If you find proof they should'nt be taken out please let me know too.

Got the bumper
Right, i have got my replacement bumper, looks easy to remove and put the new one on, as i can see where all the screws go looking at the new bumper. Looks like i have the wiring already on it but just want to make sure that it has all the wiring before i change it as i dont really want to remove it and then buy and fit the wiring later. i have taken a couple of photos, hope they are clear enough.
cheers
