Put my 3 on charge this afternoon, someone rang the door bell and said my lights were on. Sure enough DRLs were on, opened car, they went off, locked and they stayed off. Checked a little later on and they were flashing on and off intermittently. Disconnected the charger (a C TEK via the grey 12s plug) and problem cured. The DRLs are the Osram type integral with the fog lights. Any thoughts? Nick

They sense the higher voltage used to charge the battery by the alternator to sense the engine is running.
Guess what happens when you charge the battery
Connect drls to ingition circuit instead

Had this happen to my Osram DRL/fog lamps; fitted a relay on the positive supply, switched by the ignition feed so that the electronics module is electrically isolated when the vehicle is switched off

At Least you wont forget the charger is on lol, mines the same DRL unit is just wired to positive and negative and senses voltage increase and decreases to switch on and off.
