I see you mention it can happen after filling up. If it’s not the fuel, check the filler cap. My car has a warning that an incorrectly fitted (I read or damaged/worn) cap can cause intermittent performance failures. Mine tightens to a click like a ratchet and then stops. I assume to leave a slight air passage. Check yours is original LR, clean and ratchets. If it’s broken from the lanyard, have a real good look for damage and that it’s correct LR part for your car (I assume petrol and Diesel will be different colours).

I took mine into a specialist when I kept getting a strange grating noise on full lock. It turned out to be a bit of wire that had somehow got trapped in one of the front suspension arms. They's sorted it by the time I got to the office, and didn't charge me either.

A “little” update Laughing
With the relaxation of lockdown, my car went to where it would have gone in the first place, MMP Land Rover in Dundee, aka Disco Mikey
My local guy had found a few things, but still couldn’t get to the bottom of the fault causing the “Restricted Performance”
Mike found quite a few other related issues, including an egr pipe which looked like Swiss cheese !
On the upside (clutching at straws) the body-off allowed Mike to replace the brake lines, which were rapidly approaching the point of needing done anyway.
I’m now £1800+ into the “cheapest fix ever” and it’s still faulting. Everything is pointing to it needing a new primary turbo

Glad you're getting nearer.
Great idea, now you have it with someone you really trust and body off, to have a thorough inspection and running repairs done. Costly, but, if you're keeping it, you'll end up with a excellent and, hopefully, reliable car going forward. I guess these are all things that would have come to pass anyway. It's just that you're doing them all in one go.
I always value the inspections that are done at service time more than the actual service items. Saved a lot of future issues on a number of cars over the years. I wonder, would you have expected these faults to be spotted as part of an inspection where you have it serviced?
Please keep us up to date

Not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed it needs a turbo

Given that the only fault code logged was a low boost pressure code, and Euan also noted an exhaust smell (for some time too), we were almost certain this pipe was the cause.
Strictly speaking, not a body off job, but a snapped bolt into the manifold necessitated the removal to gain access to drill and retap Big Cry

The most annoying thing is that with the remedial work that’s already been done, and the issues identified and addressed, it’s never been running better. Unfortunately it’s throwing the fault almost immediately every time now.
The last throw of the dice was 4 bottles of Forte Turbo Cleaner flushed through, but that’s had little to no effect.

This has to be a dangerous thread to join!

Fingers crossed, touch wood etc .

Sticky steering lower joint, sprayed with WD40 3 years ago and still fine.

Today's fault repair, after lockdown and 2 tanks of LPG, it would only run on LPG in the morning and once a day only!
Looked at the wiring but could not see anything. Web says that it could be the hot weather?
Some times it worked twice in quick succession.

Kept checking stuff but to no avail, finally I booked it in to the local LPG garage for Wednesday.

Ever the persistant Censored I looked at it again today, the gas injectors were not firing so it was not gas related as I first thought (tank solenoid failure). Being nosey I saw 2 sets of cables between the passenger side cylinder bank and the inlet manifold, getting to the end of the cable and under the water manifold were 2 fuses and a very hot relay. The relay controls the gas injector power supply it seems. Looked at the relay and very corroded connector giving high resistance that got worse when hot.

Rubbed the verdigris off the spade terminal and replaced the relay then tucked the cable away from the hot water manifold and yippee it works fine.

My husband fixed my boot switch with a piece of plastic cut out of a persil washing liquid bottle 😬
